When was the last time you
explored New Brunswick?

Warm beaches, colourful festivals, lively cities, coastal views, forest trails — we’re lucky to have all of it close to home. But when you live here, it can be easy to forget what’s right in your own backyard. This summer, get out and see New Brunswick with fresh eyes. There really is no place like home.

After work escapes

After work, a trail walk, beach stop, or local pint can turn an ordinary evening into something special. Head to Campobello Island or Grand Manan for coastal scenery, or the Northumberland Strait for sandy beaches. You can also wind down at a local taproom, from Holy Whale Brewery in Alma, set in a former church, to Tire Shack Brewing Co. in Moncton, located in a former auto garage, or Big Axe Brewery in Nackawic, known for its small-town charm.

Inspire your group chat

When the weekend starts, pick a route, fill the car, and make the drive part of the fun. Follow the Fundy coast for dramatic shoreline views, or head toward the Acadian coast and Northumberland Strait for beach time and scenic waters. For a bigger group reset, book a campsite, cabin, or park stay. Explore the Bay of Fundy, walk the ocean floor at Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park, watch the Reversing Rapids in Saint John, or kayak the Saint John River in Fredericton. Further north, Mount Carleton Provincial Park offers hikes to the highest point in the Maritimes and unforgettable nights under the stars.

Beauty in your own backyard

You don’t need to make plans to have an amazing day. Drive the Fundy shoreline for coastal views, head to Chaleur Bay, or follow the Northumberland Strait for sandy beaches. Inland, Grand Lake offers fresh water views and boating options, while the Saint John River winds past farmland and communities on its way to Saint John. Across the province, waterfalls make it easy to add a quick stop. Choose a route, keep it loose, and go.
